Attorney Lizana Short is a graduate of Michigan State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992 and received a Juris Doctorate degree with a concentration in International Law from Detroit College of Law in 1998. She is a member of the Consumer Bankruptcy Association, Family Law Section of the Michigan Bar and the Oakland County Bar Association. As a member of Welcome Missionary Baptist Church, she on the Board of Directors of the WMBC Endowment Fund and is actively involved in its legal ministry.

KRISTIN SNYDER joined The Cartwright Law Firm as an Attorney in 2009 after running her own successful home based legal research business. Her prior experience in a collections law firm and with the Michigan Attorney General's office gives her insight into the creditor side of the bankruptcy process. She then continued on to Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA earning her B.A. in 2001 and finished her education by earning her J.D. from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 2004. She is a member of the Michigan State Bar, the Consumer Bankruptcy Association and regularly attends bankruptcy seminars. She is admitted to the practice law in the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, as well as the Federal Courts. She is an active volunteer at First United Methodist Church and also regularly attends their services with her daughter.
